and Mr. Benny Kalathoor (ID # 395) was called to eternal rest in Edmonton,
Canada.
Mr. Tibin Paul Mathew, 40 years old, nephew of Mr. Raju Karikottu (ID#
144) of the Sharon area prayer group, and grand nephew of Mrs. Kunjam-
ma Abraham (ID # 106) and Mr. Oommen K. Mathew (ID # 110) was called
to eternal rest in Thalavady, Kerala.

Dearly Beloved in Christ,
These days, Gospel conventions are being held across various dioceses of
our Church, and we eagerly anticipate the 130th Maramon Convention, set
to commence on February 9th. While distance may prevent us from attend-
ing these gatherings in person, the availability of online transmissions pro-
vides us with the opportunity to listen to the Gospel messages being
preached. Let us pray for God’s blessings upon these Gospel meetings.
Amid these conventions, certain crucial questions emerge: How do we en-
gage with the reading, meditation, and preaching of the Word of God? Do
we intentionally set aside time for personal reading and meditation of Scrip-
ture? Do we make use of available tools and resources to deepen our un-
derstanding of the biblical text? More importantly, do we seek to integrate
the message of the Bible into our daily lives, or do we merely regard it as a
religious classic to be revered from a distance?
We must remember that the Bible is indispensable in leading us into a new
relationship with the living God through Jesus Christ and by the power of
the Holy Spirit. It enables us to understand ourselves more meaningfully
and to build deeper relationships with others. However, in this modern era
of digitalization and excessive virtual engagement, our ability to spend qual-
ity time with the Word of God is often challenged. Yet, nothing can substi-
tute our personal and collective engagement with Scripture. The time we
devote to the Bible paves the way for healing and transformation in our lives
and strengthens us for our common journey of faith and public witness.
Only through a sincere and disciplined engagement with the Word of God
can the Church nurture true disciples. These disciples not only experience
personal renewal but also actively participate in God’s transformative mis-
sion in the world.
Give us knowledge and discernment of your divine Word. Fill us with the
truth of your Holy Gospel, the riches of your wisdom, and the gift of your
Spirit. Enable us to gladly obey your commands and perfectly fulfill your
holy will.

J U B I L E E P R O J E C T U P D A T E
Construction activities were slightly delayed this month due to weather de-
lays. Exterior work for the gymnasium is now scheduled to be completed
by the first week of February. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work
near completion in the gymnasium as well as framing for the interior walls
and doors. Exterior brick work for the Jubilee Hall extension has started
and should also be completed by the end of February. Mechanical, electri-
cal, and plumbing work has also commenced in this building.
Please continue to support the project financially if you have not done so
and keep the project in your prayers. .
Donor Tree: Any family who has paid a total contribution of $15,000 to-
wards the jubilee Project is eligible for this recognition. $15,000 will include
your room sponsorships and legacy brick donations. The cutoff date for this
is February 28, 2025.
